Received a one-game suspension during the '91-92 NCAA Tournament for bouncing Christian Laettner's head off the court during a game in the '90-91 NCAA Tournament.
Selected as the #1 overall pick in the 1992 CBA Draft by the Grand Rapid Hoops (then called the Mackers) but never played for them. Played for the New Haven Skyhawks in the U.S. Basketball League. Played for the Lakers' team in the Los Angeles summer league 1992, then attended the Washington Bullets' veterans camp but didn't make the team. Went to Greece and played for AEK Athens for the final six months of the 1992-93 season. Attended the Boston Celtics rookie and free agent camp in 1993, and then tired out for the Denver Nuggets but didn't make either team so he returned to Greece for another season. Tried once again to make an NBA team, this time the Charlotte Hornets, and seemed to be on the brink of making the team when Scott Burrell, his former UConn teammate, landed awkwardly against his knee, ending his chances. Played in Spain for '94-97 where Chris Smith was his teammate for a while. Played in Turkey for Efes Pilsen in '97-98. Returned in '98-99 to Spain to play for Pamesa Valencia but was injured in Feb. '99 and released. Subject of an article in the NY Times.
Signed with Panionios in Greece for the '99-00 season. Played for Pallacanestro Virtus Roma (Italy) for the 2000-01 season. Played 2001-03 for Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez (France). Currently playing for Breil Milano (Italian League 1).
